Biographical history

Agnes Mary Whitney and Helen Gertrude Whitney lived together in Edmonton, Alberta. Helen belonged to the Central United Church congregation and worked for the Solders' Settlement Board in the Blowey Henry Building in Edmonton, Alberta. Agnes died in 1928 and Helen died in 1965.

In 2001, Lois Crouse, niece of Agnes Mary Whitney and Helen Gertrude Whitney, donated the material to the Provincial Archives of Alberta.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of photographs of Alberta including the sites of Edmonton, Gull Lake, Lake Louise, and Banff taken by Agnes Mary Whitney and Helen Gertrude Whitney in the 1920s. The fonds also contains some photographs of family members taken by Agnes Mary Whitney and Helen Gertrude Whitney in the 1920s.
