Biographical history
Aimée Hill was born to Edsel Clement Vicary (1881--1956) and Ina Vellette Smith (1887--1937) in 1909. The family homesteaded in Olds, Alberta at the beginning of the 20th Century. In 1938, Aimée married Charles Hill (1902--1972). They had three children: Dennis Vicary Hill (1939), Shirley Dell (1940), and Marilyn Villette Hill (1943).
Custodial history
In 1970, Aimée Hill donated PR1970.0016 to the Provincial Archives of Alberta. In 1996, the Provincial Archives of Alberta received PR1996.0151 from an anonymous donor.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of a history of the Eli Beamer Smith family written by Aimée Hill in 1985 and seven photographs featuring a flood in Edmonton that occurred in 1915 taken by an unidentified photographer.
