Notice biographique
The Alberta Family Histories Society, based in Calgary, Alberta, is a non-profit organization formed in 1980 to promote and encourage family history research. Much of the early membership of the Society included members from the Calgary branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society, which was disbanded in 1980.
Historique de la conservation
Kathleen Hymas (PR1981.0403) and Ed Scott (PR1982.0191) deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1981 and 1982.
Portée et contenu
The fonds consists of materials created by the Alberta Family Histories Society between 1980 and 1982, and includes cemetery listings for the Okotoks Cemetery and the Strathmore Cemetery.
