Alberta Health Services Archives & Historic Collections acquire, maintain, organize, protect and provide access to the permanent and vital records, images and artifacts of Alberta Health Services. The collection was formally established in 1997.

Early records of the Calgary General Hospital fonds have been formally arranged and described and the finding aid for this fond can be viewed online. Other finding aids are currently being developed and will soon be available online. Basic inventory control has been applied to other collections and they are also accessible through the Archives: Alberta Children's Hospital fonds, Calgary Board of Health fonds, Calgary District Hospital Group fonds, Foothills Hospital fonds, and Salvation Army Grace Hospital fonds.
