Biographical history

The Alberta Milk Producers Society was a milk industry organization designed to further the interests of Alberta milk producers operating throughout the 1980s and 1990s in Alberta. The society offered programs to increase milk consumption in children, and conducted agricultural research studies. In 2002, under the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, on August 1, 2002, Alberta Milk assumed the responsibility for Alberta Dairy Control Board and the Alberta Milk Producers Society.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of learning kits and posters from the Alberta School Milk Program designed by Jan Waldon of the Alberta Milk Producers Society dating from 1986-1992. The fonds also includes information package on the "Club Moo" School Milk program dating from 1993 to 1994.
