Scope and content

The fonds consists of videocassette copies of five 16 mm films and accompanying narrative (both done by Dr. Allan Duncan) of his activities in and around Dawson City, Yukon in the 1940s. Activities include a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) patrol flight to small communities, mining activities, and a boat trip up the Inside Passage. Scenes include ice break-up, Dawson City floods, North Fork Ditch, Percy DeWolfe's dog team, the S.S. Klondike sternwheeler, Dawson City Discovery Day, garden produce, bear cubs, and a baby bald eagle.
