Biographical history
Anita Ronayne arrived in Whitehorse, Yukon in May 1947 from Pemberton, B.C. She worked as a stenographer for the Northwest Highway Command of the Canadian Army in Whitehorse from May 1947 until February 1948 when she transferred to Fort Nelson, B.C. She later married and became Anita McWilliams. In 1991, she was living in Hudson's Hope, B.C.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of a scrapbook containing 77 photographs and postcards, and travel cards of Anita Ronayne's trip up the Inside Passage and her stay in Whitehorse, Yukon. Images include views of Whitehorse and the surrounding area in summer and winter, a trip to Takhini Hot Springs and Champagne, Teslin Lake, Kluane Lake, and many of her friends and people that worked for the army are identified. Captions accompany most of the photographs. The majority of photographs were taken by Anita Ronayne. Also included are 7 photographs of Governor-General Lord Alexander paying a visit to Whitehorse in the summer of 1947.
