Biografie

Anne Hardman, born in [1912], was the second child born to Mary Georgina Brown and Tiberous Percy Morrison Wright. Her siblings were George Magnus (1910-1976) and Florence, who died aged six years in 1920. Mary died in 1917 and the children were raised by their aunt, Margaret Brown. In 1934 Anne Wright married Arthur Hardman in Athabasca, AB and they raised three children: Edward, Marion and Pat. Arthur died in 1970 and Anne died in 1991.

The fonds consists of photographs which include: Oct.22, 1911 auto party in front of the Athabasca Grand Union Hotel; a view of Athabasca from the east hill in 1912; the first air mail flight into Athabasca in Feb. 1931; Strathcona (50th) Street in 1951; the Athabasca Echo newspaper building; an aerial view of Athabasca taken by Bob Preece; the Athabasca bus depot and Athabasca United Church; and views taken from across the river.
