Biographical history
Arthur S. Mould came to Alberta in 1923 in response to the Hoadley Scheme, promoted by George Hoadley, Minister of Agriculture, in various London, England newspapers, which offered assisted passage, and a course at Vermilion Agricultural College, to a number of young men, in return for their working on farms in the area and possibly settling on their own homesteads in the future. Mould worked in the Oyen, Alberta area for Mr. Van Horne, Mr. Dalgleish, and Mr. E.C. Hallman, and also did some freelance journalism while in Alberta, writing an article for the <em>Canada Weekly</em>. While at Hallman's farm, Mould participated in an experiment that used horse teams of 6, 8, or 12, some of which were hitched to pull with their tails. Mould returned to London in 1925 and eventually worked in book publishing.

Fonds consists of records related to Arthur S. Mould's participation in the Hoadley Scheme, and includes an issue of The Radio, a Legislative Assembly of Alberta member's gallery pass, a personal reminiscence, and photographs that depict horse teams, a train, and various buildings.
