Biographical history
August Oscar Fisher, 1876-1967, came to Hespeler, Ontario in 1881. He moved to MacGregor, Manitoba and then to Calgary, Alberta in 1899. He managed a ranch for Rev. John McDougall at Morley until 1902 when he moved to Calgary. He farmed on the northwest edge of the city and was also engaged in real estate. In 1916 he moved to Didsbury where he farmed until 1936, then retired to Calgary. He and his wife Flora, ?-1954, had four children, Ernest, Myrtis (Bignell), Elva (Leavens) and Marion (Bentley).
