View of Alberta Street (later named 50 Avenue) looking east. An automobile (possibly a Ford Model T) is on the street. Buildings on the north side of the street are, L to R: telephone office, house, Millet Hotel, Bank. On the south side of the street are, R to L: John West's house, Millet Mercantile Co. store, Karr Bros. Store. The Mitchell Block may be seen across Main Street.

Vic Norquist is shown at the wheel of the wrecker. The man standing is unknown. Vic's Garage was built in 1928 after fire destroyed his first garage on the east side of Main Street (50 Street) in October of 1927. The new garage was located at the corner of Main Street and Edward Street (48 Avenue), Block 3, Lots 1 & 2.

Image depicts the store, with a car parked in front of it at the southwest corner of 50 Street and 50 Avenue. The back part of the store was built by B. A. Van Meter in 1898 or 1899. The front part was built to the east boundary of the property on Main Street (Railway Street) in 1903. Other owners of the business were Fred Blades (1903-1907), W. A. Robertson (1907-1910), J. W. and P. J. Mullen (1910-1911), Farmers' Co-operative, Bert Wilkinson, manager (1911-1916), Karr Bros. (1916-1927), E. M. Furlong (1927-1929), E. G. Thorn (1929-1935), R. R. Hopkins (1935-1946), E. C. Baker (1946-1950), C. M. Gardiner (1950-1968). The store was demolished in the 1980s.

Curtiss Gas and Tire Depot, Millet, Alberta.

View of the service station, with grain elevators in the background. In 1930, Curtiss Gas and Tire of Camrose purchased lots at the south end of Railway Street (50 Street) and built this service outlet. William Nahirnik was brought in to run it. He died in 1946. The business was run by his family until his son Edward Nahirnik sold it.

Photo shows businesses and automobiles parked on the street. Businesses featured are Barth's Billiards and Barber Shop, Massey Harris office and showroom, C. M. Gardiner's Red & White Store, Imperial Bank of Canada. The building housing the Massey Harris office was built by Phil Fraser and had been used for many purposes among which were a drug store. Henry Buchak was the proprietor at the time the picture was taken. The building was torn down in April 1957 after having been empty for several years. C. M. and Margaret Gardiner were the proprietors of the Red & White Store from 1950 to 1968.

The Red & White Store, Millet, Alberta.

An automobile is pictured on the street in front of the store in winter. The store was on the east side of Main Street, Block 2. At the left of the picture is the Maple Leaf Garage, built in 1928 by contractors Pettigrew & Scott for Imperial Oil. James Carney was the local agent. The Red & White Store was built by E. G. Thorn in 1935. The building contained a general store and a bakery and both were operated by Mr. Thorn. This building burned in January 1936.

Vic's Garage and Alex Menard's blacksmith shop.

Image depicts a truck parked beside Vic's Garage, with the blacksmith shop in the background. Alex Menard's blacksmith shop was located on Lot 24, Block 5 on 48 Avenue (Edward Street). His shop was built about 1905 or 1906. Vic's Garage was built in 1928. The first Vic's Garage owned by Vic Nordquist was located on the east side of Railway Street and was destroyed by fire in October 1927. He then rebult it on Block 3, Lots 1 & 2 (northwest corner of 50 Street and 48 Avenue) as shown in the picture.
