The Centre's first Development Manager was appointed in 1980 with the responsibility for corporate and individual fundraising projects. In 1984 a Development Office was established with a staff of four, expanding to eight in 1991, with officers assigned to specific Centre programs. Between 1994 and 1998 the Office was part of the Communications and Development Department, under a single Director. Branch offices opened in Toronto and Calgary with Associate Directors in 1995. Senior staff include Vice Presidents Patrick Judge (1980-1991) and Gordon McDiarmid (1991-1994), Development Officer Linda Hammell (1983-1994), and Directors Jon Bjorgum (1995- 1998), Andrea Seale (1999), and Tom Berekoff (1999-).
