Biographical history

Billy Morrissey was the stick boy for the Edmonton Flyers for the 1947/48 season when the team won the Allen Cup. He remained with the club, eventually becoming the team's equipment manager.

This fonds consists of hockey memorabilia from Bill Morrissey's time with the Edmonton Flyers, including two Edmonton Flyers crests, a photocopy of Morrissey's Edmonton Flyers 1947/48 Allan Cup Championship scrapbook, newspaper clippings, 1952 Season's Greetings from the Edmonton Flyers, Programme Supplement featuring the Chicago Black Hawks and the Kansas City Pla-Mors (October 1946), Hockey Banquet: Special Invitation from the Chicago Black Hawks to the Hockey Players of the Canadian Athletic Club (Signed by Bill Mosienko, 1946-47), Exhibition Series Featuring the Montreal Canadiens and the National Hockey League All-Stars, April 28, 1947 (signed), Programme Supplement Featuring Exhibition Game Between Chicago Blackhawks and Kansas City Pla Mors, October 6, 1947 (signed), Hockey Banquet: Special Invitation from the Chicago Black Hawks to the Hockey Players of the Canadian Athletic Club (Signed by Bill Mosienko, 1948-49), The Famous Bentleys (1947).
