Biographical history

Cayley School District No. 990 was established in 1904 to govern a school located about one mile south of the townsite of Cayley, Alberta. In 1908 a larger school was built in Cayley, and the original one-room school was moved about 7 miles further south and renamed Braemar School. The new school district was named Braemar School District No. 990. In 1938 the district was amalgamated into the Foothills School Division No. 38, and soon after, the school was closed and moved to Cayley to serve as an auxiliary classroom for the school there.
