Edgar, 1889?-1957, and Archibald, homesteaded at Mere, Alberta, near Alsask, Saskatchewan, in 1914. The brothers sold the farm in 1935. Edgar and his wife Ema had one son, Reed, 1923-?. In 1935 they began farming at Connemara, near Cayley, Alberta, and by 1953 they were farming on the family's original homestead near Aldersyde. Reed inherited it.
