Name of creator
The Bruderheim Moravian Church was organized on May 6, 1895 under the leadership of Andreas Lilge. Lilge was a teacher and lay pastor who had served Moravian fellowships in Volhynia, Russia. He served the congregation on a part-time basis until February 1896 when the Moravian Church in Pennsylvania sent the Reverend Clement Hoyler to be their founding pastor.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of minutes and meeting materials of the Bruderheim Moravian Church, correspondence, progress reports, church property/church growth, financial records, vital statistics, publications, church education and material pertaining to women's and youth groups. Includes church diaries which record the life and activities of a congregation, and subject files documenting special topics or themes.
