Biographical history
In the summer of 1973, Glenbow Archives hired Helen Oko and Karen Kunze as summer students to interview several Calgary businessmen about early businesses in Calgary, Alberta.
Custodial history
Records are owned by the Glenbow but are made available by the Glenbow Western Research Centre, University of Calgary.
Scope and content
The collection consists of typed transcripts of short interviews with J.Vair Anderson (jeweller); Adrien Despins (hardware); Richard D. Fields (Western Cycle Works); Albert Hill (tailor); Earl P. Holzeworth (hardware); L.H. Luther (Blue Label Bottle); John T. Saunders (Jackson Bakery); and George M. Wilkinson (Wilkinson Electric).
