Biographical history

The Calling Lake Nursing Service Association was formed in 1956 and incorporated in 1958 as a public health clinic to serve the citizens of Calling Lake. Ownership of the health centre building (1957) and all the equipment was transferred from the Mennonite Service Unit to the Calling Lake Nursing Service Association. The Association disbanded in 1976 when it was taken over by the Athabasca Health Unit.
