Administrative history

The collection was begun by the Canadian Architectural Archives to preserve the reflections of prominent Canadian architects of the 20thCentury. Dr. Michael McMordie and Dr. Harold Kalman, who were teaching architecture at the University of Calgary and the University of British Columbia, and Jack Peach, a Calgary local historian and journalist recorded the reminiscences of the architects.

Custodial history

The recordings were donated by the interviewers.

Scope and content

The collection to date consists of 13 interviews which were conducted between 1972 and 1981 by Dr. Harold Kalman, Dr. Michael McMordie and Jack Peach.
