Biographical history

Mary Ann Godkin, 1869-1944, was born and raised in Lyndhurst, Ontario. In 1890 she married Melville Card, 1864-1951, from Plevna, Ontario. They moved west in 1905 to homestead near Delburne, Alberta. They had one son, Claude, 1893-1952, and 3 grandchildren, Lila, Allan and Eilleen

Gift of Lila Stringer, daughter of Claude Card, to the Red Deer and District Museum, 1979

Scope and content

Fonds consists of a letter to Mary Ann Card from her sister Etta Godkin, in Delta, Ontario, concerning the recent death of their mother (1917)
