Charles Coghlan was the captain of the sternwheeler "Klondike".
Custodial history
These photographs had belonged to Charles Coghlan. They were acquired by Claude Hogg who gave them to Gudrun Sparling who gave them to Mike Gates, who then donated them to Yukon Archives in 1983.

The fonds consists of photographs collected by Charles Coghlan. There are views of Coghlan and his friends; sternwheeler staff and passengers; the Taylor & Drury store in Carmacks; Yukon Crossing; Telegraph Creek[?]; Glacier Bay; Lower Laberge; Takhini Crossing; Montague Roadhouse; George Brown's roadhouse in Carmacks; the transport of mail by canoe in winter; wildlife; Silver Tip Falls; Horton and Moore's Post on Black River; Yukon Airways and Exploration Company airplane; Llewellyn Glacier; Whitehorse Rapids; and Whitehorse.
