Biographical history

Pastor Schole of neighbouring Bethany Lutheran Church, Fort Saskatchewan (Beaver Hills) conducted the first Lutheran Church Missouri Synod services for the Christ Lutheran congregation in 1953. They worshipped in the local Legion Hall. In 1956 the congregation formally organized and adopted a constitution. They were served that year by Pastor W. C. Eifert until his son Rev. Willard H. Eifert took over in April. Construction of the church was completed in 1957 with volunteers finishing the furnishings, and the service of dedication occurred in November of that year. In 1988 the congregation joined the newly formed Lutheran Church-Canada.
