Biographical history

Harold Ziprick, lay worker, began work among the deaf in Calgary about 1969. The Missouri Synod mission for the deaf stepped in to help this ministry in 1973 and in 1976 it was incorporated. The purpose of this mission was to minister to the parents of deaf children and to hearing children of deaf parents being cognizant of the separate culture of the deaf and their distinctive language. From 1982 - 1991 the congregation, alon with their pastor Rev. O. Anderson, used the facilities of Shepherd King Lutheran Church. The congregation revised their constitution in 1988 when they joined the newly formed Lutheran Church-Canada, but finally was disbanded in 1991.

Custodial history

Records were deposited with the Lutheran Historical Institute by the congregation and the Mission Department of the Alberta-British Columbia District of Lutheran Church-Canada.
