Biographical history
Clint Taylor, a student at Durant Middle School in Durant, Oklahoma, wrote an essay pertaining to black Oklahoman immigration to western Canada between 1909-1912. He was one of three Oklahoman students awarded a prize in the 1988 National History Day competition.

The fonds consists of a copy of the essay titled "Freedom on the Frontier: Black Migration to Amber Valley", a bibliography, and his correspondence with Mrs. Eileen Hendy, archivist at the Athabasca Municipal Library and Archives.
