Biographical history
David George Oliphant was born in Edmonton, March 20, 1931, the son of George and Marie (nee Olson) Oliphant. David attended public school at Claresholm and Calgary, and High School at Calgary and Medicine Hat. He was Manager of the Medicine Hat and District Tourist Council, was President of the Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Medicine Hat Municipal Planning Commission, and Vice President of the Medicine Hat Corn Council. He is also a member of the Elks, Medicine Hat Curling Club and the United Church. He married Muriel Lillian (nee Folkins), on September 24, 1952. They have 5 children: Donna, David Jr., Debra, Robert, and Brian.

The fonds consists of: souvenir program from Alberta Winter Games held in Medicine Hat (1978); souvenir program from World Junior Curling Championship held at Medicine Hat (1983).
