David Henry Hoy was a freighter and trapper who worked in the Yukon and British Columbia around 1900 to 1929.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of a transcript of an interview conducted with Mr. Hoy on October 5, 1929. David Hoy describes his work as a freighter in the Yukon, primarily near Dawson City, from the years 1900 to 1905. He also describe his experiences as a farmer, freighter and trapper in Northern British Columbia in the years following his Yukon experience. Mr. Hoy's narrative is very descriptive in nature, as he discusses the people and situations he encountered while working in the Yukon and northern British Columbia.
