Dora Dibney, 1894-[after 1969], was born in Hull, England and came to Winnipeg with her family in 1904. Her sister died in 1904 and her father in 1906. Her stepmother returned to England in 1907, leaving only Dora and her brother, George. Dora started a long career as a newspaper woman with the Winnipeg Free Press ca. 1913. She was the telegraph editor for the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix from the late 1920s until 1940, then she moved to Regina to become editor of the Saskatchewan Farmer. She held this position until coming to Calgary, Alberta in 1948, as the director of women's programs for CFCN radio. She retired in the late 1950s and moved to Regina ca. 1966. She was married twice, first to Mr. Clark, and later to Grant Wright. She had one son, William.
