At that time, her training was funded by the city of Kenora. In 1982 she received a Certificate of Art from the University of Alberta, Department of Extention, where she studied under Professors Doug Barry and Harry Wohlfarth. For many years Donna has served as Southern Representative for the Alberta Community Arts Club Association and later as their director. She was president of the "Hat" Art Club in 1976.
