Biographical history
Dr. Chapman is a history professor at the Medicine Hat College, having previously taught at the University of Lethbridge. Dr. Chapman is currently the President of the Alberta Historical Society (1993), and has researched and written a number of articles dealing with crime, law and women of the frontier period of Western Canada. As part of course requirements, her students are encouraged to research and write term papers on various local historical issues and topics utilizing the local archives. A number of those students from her History 331 and 333 classes, later entered their papers into the Medicine Hat Historical Society's annual essay contest.
