The McCreary and Dye families were part of the early settlement of the Iowa region. The McCreary family resided near West Union, Iowa. The only known family members are Myron McCreary, and his two daughters Melvia Dye, and Addie Schell. The Dye family may have also resided in Iowa. Melvia McCreary married a Mr Dye
