Biographical history

Tom B. Jevne was born on October 23, 1880, and passed away in 1974. He came to Stoney Creek to homestead, then moved to Banff to earn money. While in Banff, he was employed by Mr. Whyte. Mr. Jevne moved to Round Hill, and then to Rosenroll. He eventually found his way to Wetaskiwin where he remained until his death. Tom Jevne's daughter, Mrs. Mickey Edwards, is a long time citizen of Wetaskiwin. She graduated from Wetaskiwin High School (WHS) in 1942. She was a war worker at Boeing Aircraft in British Columbia before returning to Wetaskiwin to raise a family. She worked at the Hobbema Indian Hospital from 1959-1967. She was on the Wetaskiwin Hospital Advisory Board in 1969.

Consists of items relating to Wetaskiwin's business and banking history (1900-1941); framed photographs of the graduating class from Wetaskiwin High School (1941-1942); photographs of Wetaskiwin buildings and unidentified people (ca.1906); postcards portraying early Wetaskiwin (ca. 1908); photograph of Mickey Edwards, 1969; and a family history of the Jevne family.
