Biographical history
Eileen Ward, daughter of Charlie and Mattie Ward, married Maurice Hanlan in 1936. They farmed in the Rochester, AB district. They had four children.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of two books relating to farming: "The Successful Stockman and Manual of Husbandry" published in 1899 in Springfield, Mass and most of a book on farming which has no cover. There are several small farm machinery parts catalogues, a 1930s bull service record book for Caribou Range, an article on the origins of the Athabasca Landing Trail published in the St. Albert Gazette in 1984 and a Canadian handbook dated about 1907.
