At various times throughout the history of the Esplanade Archives there has arisen a need to create a holding for smaller miscellaneous collections that are valuable yet at the same time incomplete and therefore not fit for individual fonds status. Previous to this point smaller miscellaneous collections were added to the Medicine Hat Museum and Art Gallery fonds.

The collection consists of various archival materials pertinent to the institutions mandate including: photograph of 1953 Medicine Hat Orioles Women's Baseball Team, Medicine Hat City Band (1919);1951 flood; and various views of Medicine Hat. 20 slides of Elkwater, Medicine Hat Parade and Medicine Hat Stampede (1950s). 1 oversize matted black and white photograph of "The Mikado" cast at the Empress Theater (1914); 2 over sized black and white matted photographs of the Medicine Hat Caledonian Football Club (1924); Over sized black and white photograph of the Dixon Children [ca.1931]; 5 photographs of Ronalene Bridge fire; 2 images Jack Brownie.
