Biographical history

Esther Ruby Peterson was born in approximately 1906. Her parents, Hans Peter and Christina Peterson, were of Danish descent; the family lived in the Woody Nook district of Alberta. Esther became a teacher and later taught at the Woody Nook School. She married Raymond Heath; they lived in Edmonton, Alberta. Esther Heath died October 5, 1986.

Custodial history

Elizabeth Taylor, friend of Esther Heath, deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1986. The records were from Esther Heath's estate.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of the images once belonging to Esther Heath, including photographic postcards of the area near Gull Lake, Alberta, Fritz Ebeling's threshing outfit, the Peterson's home and students at Woody Nook School District No. 2454, and a photograph of the students at the Woody Nook School.
