Biographical history
Manual Fefferman was born at Poduloesky, Russia in 1849 and lived there until his death in 1897. He was a farmer and later a cattle dealer. His wife, Esther Learn, was born in Russia in 1851. Their children were Sam, Pessie, Eva, Adolph and Morris. Sam came to the United States with his mother in 1897 when he was twelve. They first settled in Minneapolis, where he completed his education and went into the fur business. He went to Billings, Montana in 1902 and became a fur trader there. He served as treasurer of the local B'nai Brith. He married Annie Samuel, and had four children: Rosie, born July 10, 1913, Addie, born October 22, 1916, Harry, born May 11, 1922, and Manny. When Sam died suddenly in 1928, Addie, Manny and Harry went to Edmonton to live with their Aunt and Uncle, Mary and Abe Wyman. Manny married Leah. Harry married Shana and they have two children, Allan and a sister. Allan is an actuary, is married and lives in Israel. He has one child.
