Biographical history

Fred Siebert was a member of the J.B. McFarlane Dominion Land Survey of the Yellowhead (1909). Other members of the Dominion Land Servey crew include; William Biggs, Scottie Williamson, Willie Ansel, Bert Leach, Clarence Bickle and William White.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of Mr. F. Seibert's photographs of the J.B. McFarlane Dominion Land Survey of the Yellowhead (1909). Shows camp scenes as well as general views of the surveyors and the landscape at the time (1909) and later (1960's). Fonds also includes views of the Lewis Swift Homestead (1909), showing some of the buildings, the water-wheel as well as views of the Swift family. Also contained in the collection are photos of a Curly Phillips hunting party (1927).
