Biographical history
In 1891, Halley Hamilton Gaetz established a drug and stationery business in Red Deer, Alberta. In 1907, he formed a partnership with Royland George "Roy" Cornett, and the business became known as the Gaetz-Cornett Drug and Book Company. The store moved to a new location in 1978 and closed in 1981.

The fonds consists of balance sheets of the Gaetz-Cornett Drug and Book Company, minutes, correspondence, land titles, prescription information, income tax notices, other financial records, and photographs. The fonds has been arranged into the following six series: financial, legal, administrative, and pharmaceutical records, and Thomas Roy Cornett, and photographs.
