Annie Geffen, 1895-1979, was born in Russia and came to Calgary, Alberta in 1914. She and her husband, Morres Geffen, a butcher, had four children, Samuel Edward, 1918- , Theodore Morton, 1922- , Jack, 1926- , and Zinna "Bunny" (Goodman). After Morres died she married Nathan Sanofsky, 1890-1979. He was born in Russia and came to Calgary in 1911. He operated the Pleasant Confectionery for 45 years, retiring in 1972. He had two children by a previous marriage, Abraham "Al" and Riva (Wolf).

The fonds consists of newsclippings, greeting cards, membership cards, family photographs, and miscellany of the Geffen, Sanofsky and Goodman families.
