History

Edith Parker, 1909-? , was born at Blackie, Alberta. In 1930 she married Waldo N. Warren, ?-1938, a bacteriologist at the Keith Sanatorium near Calgary. They had one daughter, Lorna (Switzer), 1931- . In 1952 Edith married David Gillies, 1906- , and they resided on his dairy farm in the Cremona/Elkton district. David was born in Scotland, came with his family to the area north of Medicine Hat, Alberta and later settled at Stettler. In 1929 and 1930 he was employed by the Brewsters in Banff. He later briefly homesteaded in the Peace River area. He settled at Elkton in 1934.
