Biographical history
Roselda Gass (Grandmaison) was born in 1898 at Blueridge, Massachusetts, USA. She was born the daughter of Rene and Lillian Grandmaison (Myrdal). Their family moved to Hinton area where her father would work in three coal mines along the Coal Branch. She remembers living in Mountain Park, across from the washhouse in Cadomin and up from the Theater in Mercoal. Roselda and John had three children: Ernest, Roselda and Isabell. Isabell died in 1940; Ernest died in 1981 and her husband John in 1977.
