Biografie
H. A. Sandy Robinson was born in Jasper (June 14, 1929) and raised there. He married Jean Gillett. They have three children: Bruce, married to Karen and living in BC; Sandra lives in BC; David works and lives in Calgary, AB. Robinson attended elementary and high school in Jasper and is currently a resident. Robinson has been involved in many local clubs and organizations over the years. He was involved with the Jasper School Drama Club, and the live stage production, Jasper Story, the Jasper Curling Club, and the Jasper Park Band. Sandy Robinson photographed much of the organizations' activities. Robinson's photographs often appeared in the Jasper Totem (local weekly paper). Robinson was involved with the local paper as a photographer and researching and writing articles. Robinson worked at Rowed and O'Neill Photography and was a student of Harry Rowed and Ray O'Neill. Robinson is also a respected Jasper artist and paints in water colour.

The fonds consists of graphic and textual records generated by Robinson's involvement with various local organizations and personal interests. The records were created between [ca. 1910] and 1999. The records pertain to Jasper National Park, AB; Hinton, Edmonton, AB. The fonds consists of five series:;I. Jasper Elementary School Photograph, 1945, 1 black and white photograph, consisting of the Grade 3 and 4 class;II. Miscellaneous photograph series, [193-?] - [1955], 5 black and white photographs, consisting of: residences, local residents, and local MLA. III. Palisades negative series, [ca. 1910] - [19-], 107 black and white negatives, consisting of: views of early Jasper (Fitzhugh), the Swift family and property, hunting trips, road construction, forest fires, railroad cars, pack horses. These images were found by Robinson in a chocolate box at the Palisades Convention Centre during renovations. IV. Jasper community activities series, [ca. 1913] - [1975?], 577 photographs, consisting of: A. Jasper Park Band memorabilia, 1962 - 1965; B. Jasper Newspaper, 1917 - 1993; C. National Park leases, 1966 - 1991; D. Pyramid Investment Club, 1956 - 1965; E. Ephemera, 1964 - 1967; Community events and people, [ca. 1913] - [1975?]. V. Various local events series, 1941 - 1969, consisting of photographs, slides, maps and greeting cards.
