Biographical history

Helen Srolovitz (later Sanders) married Saul Dlin and together they had three children, Arnie, Elliott and Bonnie. The Dlin family lived in Edmonton, Alberta where both Helen and Saul Dlin were active in the Jewish community. Helen Dlin was active in the Citizenship Council, the Winnifred Stewart School for Retarded Children, the United Community fund, the Edmonton Heart Fund, Edmonton Talmud Torah School Mother's Auxiliary, and Hadassah-WIZO Edmonton Council. She was also elected president of the Canadian Zionist Federation Edmonton Council in 1972. Her husband was also a member of the Canadian Zionist Federation Edmonton Council in 1972, and was active in the Chevra Kadisha, the Edmonton Talmud Torah School, State of Israel Bonds, and United Jewish Appeal. He was also a Negev Dinner honouree in 1961.

The fonds consists of materials collected and created from [ca. 193?]-1999, including information about the Zionist Council in Edmonton, Alberta provided by Helen Dlin, and newspaper clippings about Helen and Saul Dlin. Fonds also includes a copied photograph dating [193-?] depicting the Dlin family.
