History

Charles Robson and his brother John Salisbury (Jack) Robson (1871-1937) emigrated from Lincolnshire, England to Canada in the 1890s. Jack prospected for gold during the Yukon gold rush and then served in the South African War (1900-1901) with Bowers as members of the "B" Squardon, Strathcona's Horse. Charles Robsin married and Gwendolyn Johnston and they had a daughter, Frances, who was born in 1929, in Montreal. Francis attended McGill University in Montreal and graduated in 1954 with a science degree focused in chemistry. In 1963 Francis married Robert Heppolette.
