Includes accounts, correspondence, essays, journals, memoirs, and reports relating to the Hudson's Bay Company, North Star Oil, and Revillon Freres. II Certificates and memorabilia (1880-1928). Includes birth, education, and military certificates. III Clippings (1925-1937). IV Correspondence (1911-1945). Relates to accounts; expeditions; lectures; publications. V Inventions (1903-1913). Mr. Romanet developed a motorized sledge, which he patented in France. VI Lectures, radio talks (1925-1945). VII Literary manuscripts (1930-1937). Includes correspondence, drafts, notebooks and typescripts relating to legends, stories and Mr. Romanet's autobiography, Kabluk of the North. VIII Maps (1943-1944). Northwest Service Command installations; weather stations; Alcan Highway. IX Photographs (1903-1940). Mainly fur trade, Inuit, steamboats on northern rivers; and family (625 images). Many of the arctic and Inuit photographs are by Gaston Herodier, a compatriot.
