The fonds consists of field notes of Jane and Lucien Hanks, written during their ethnological research among the Siksika; photographs and films of Siksika people, events, ceremonies, the Blackfoot reserve, tipis, Gleichen, and Sun Dances; letters from friends on the reserve; and a sound recording of Jane Hanks describing many of the photographs.
