The fonds consists of materials collected or created by the Melton family of Amber Valley between 1979 and 1993. The fonds consists of three family photographs, copies of two newspaper articles, a history of the Melton family from Katie Melton's perspective, and a university essay written by Jimmy Robert Melton in 1993 entitled "Amber Valley: A Black Enclave in Northern Alberta, Canada."
