The collection consists of original photographs, photographic copy prints, and laser print copies of images documenting the community of Millet, its public life, and its families.
Photo shows group assembled in yard near Millet Methodist Church. One article to be sold was a goat standing in the wagon beside the sidewalk crossing.
Photo shows interior of the Millet Mercantile Co. store, Millet. At the counter are, L to R, Miss Bernie Bean, John West, Bill Scott. Store was owned by John West and was located on 50 Avenue, second lot west.
The Rexall Drug Store and the Egg Grading Station were situated on the northeast corner of 49 Avenue and 50 Street. The Greyhound bus stopped at the Drug Store to pick up passengers. The Millet Drug Store was located on the east side of 50 Street. Standing on the wooden sidewalk in front of it are (L to R) Mr. Graham, druggist; A. P. Mitchell, insurance broker and auctioneer; and Porter Wright, Village Secretary. Carpentry tools and an automobile are visible in the image.
Posing in front of barn with horses and buggies are (L to R) Fred Arndt and Herman Grapentine. Barn was located just north of the old telephone office across the alley from the hotel. It was built by Grant Wolf in 1911.
Post Office was located on the east side of 50 Street, north of the intersection of 50 Street and 50 Avenue. Pictured are the children of Loyd Wolf, postmaster in Millet from 1931 to 1945. Bill is the baby.
