The collection consists of copies of photographs which document Geological Survey of Canada field trips in the Yukon between 1932 and 1938. The following areas were photographed: Bonanza Creek, Big Salmon River, Dominion Creek, Keno City, Mayo Lake, Stewart River, Scroggie Creek, Sulphur Creek, Sixty Mile River, Lewes River, Lake Laberge, Jensen Creek, Eldorado Creek, Dawson, Whitehorse, Hootalinqua, Carmacks, Fraser Falls, Elsa, Highet Creek, and Pelly Crossing. Surveyors and prospectors are shown, including Hugh Bostock. There are also photographs of the sternwheelers Casca, Klondike (No. 1), Keno and Aksala.
