This collection consists of photographs of the 3rd Battalion of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (3PPCLI) during the conflict on the Korean Peninsula from its formation on November 30, 1950 to its deactivation on January 8, 1954.

The fonds contains one 18 page scrapbook which includes postcards, newsclippings, a safe conduct pass, propaganda leaflets, and banknotes. Includes a "Crown News" newsletter from 21 January 1951; a "Letter Home" newsletter from October 1951; and a "Sanjom/Ni Nightly Revue" newsletter from 26 November 1951. Also included are 8 photographs of Korea and Korean peasants and a photograph of the U.S. naval ship Marine Adder.

Clarence & Nora Shields Family fonds

The fonds consists of records relating to the Shields family. The records include Nora Shields’ personal and financial papers, the Shields family tree, early and later photographs from the Shields’ as well as the Dionne family, Jack Shields’ military papers and photographs from his experience as a soldier before and during the Korean War, and some military publications that he collected.

The records have been arranged by the Archivists by content and chronology into the various series and files. The Archivists imposed the order now shown by the records.

The records are divided into six series: Nora Shields Personal Papers, Nora Shields’ Financial Records, Shields’ Family Photographs, Jack Shields Korean War Records, Korean War Publications.

The fonds consists of a listing of personal history for Capt Robertson’s family; certificates showing his activities and training from a child of eight to his career in retirement; his Canadian Armed Forces Pay Books; souvenirs of the trip to Korea and the Ebisu Hotel in Tokyo. Photographs are of the Robertson family, Dave’s career in the military and his service at an Advance Dressing Station in Korea. The audio tape is a Dave Robertson recording regarding his family’s military history.
