Fonds consists of the administrative and operational records created, accumulated, and used by the Red Deer & District Museum Society during their activities programming and running the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery.

The types of records include administrative and organizational documents. This includes committee reports, minutes, policies, newsletters, correspondence, grant reports, annual reports and financial statements, architectural plans for the Museum building, Heritage Community Foundation information, transcripts, audio and video recordings, and permission agreements for projects (including Gay Life Project and International Women's Exchange Program / SUCH program, and the Oral History project), exhibit posters and photographs (including Century Books of Honour), staff photographs, awards certificates, and the World's Most Boring Postcard.

Records also include items accumulated in the course of museum activities, including Red Deer Public School annual education reports accumulated through the Historica School Fairs activities, the Friends of Sunnybrook Farm Museum society, the Red Deer Native Friendship Centre, Heritage Canada, Red Deer & District Archives, and CARMN.

Starting Anew Management Committee

Fonds consists of the administrative and research materials created, accumulated, and used by the Starting Anew Management Committee during their activities creating the Starting Anew project collecting stories about and by immigrants to Canada.

The fonds includes both oral history interviews and written submissions from community members who immigrated in the second or third wave of immigration to the Central Alberta area. The project involved approximately 75 to 100 participants coming from other parts of Canada and 25 different countries. The fonds also includes promotional material, administrative material, information sheets and general notes. The types of records include minutes, planning related documents, transcripts, photographs, audio interviews, and video recordings.
